It’s FRIDAY! That means more vertical farming photos from the Bright Agrotech vertical farm – 4/18/2013

We’ve had another BUSY week here around the farm!

On Saturday, Dr. Nate, Chris and Noah began planting in the new [soil] greenhouse. We’re excited to say the onions, kale, chard and bok choy we transplanted from our plug trays are doing well so far!

It’s been a cold and windy week at the Bright Agrotech vertical farm, with our two main roads in/out of Laramie closed for the majority of the week (see the photo of I80). We’re VERY happy to report the new greenhouse has stood strong against our sustained 50mph winds and some gusts of up to 65mph.

CSA Harvest

On Thursday, Noah, Paul and Chris harvested some beautiful heads of lettuce, red russian kale and rosemary for our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) members. Some of those heads of butthead lettuce we’re absolutely spectacular!

Even though we’re looking forward to some warmer weather, it was yet another exciting week around the farm!

Stay tuned to our blog and YouTube Channel for exciting content in the coming weeks for more vertical farming photos.

  1. Just ordered the ebook, can’t wait to get started and I love to see plants growing in snowy weather.
